Install okdone

okdone runs anywhere there is a browser, and on some platforms there is an app to install as well. Whichever you take, it is the same account and the same tasks. Installing is never required: it only gives okdone an icon, its own window, and no address bar.

iPhone and iPad

1. Open okdone.app in Safari. It has to be Safari — Chrome on iOS cannot install a web app.
2. Tap the Share button, the square with an arrow.
3. Scroll down, tap Add to Home Screen, then Add.

It now sits with your other apps and opens without Safari’s toolbars. Reminders arrive while it is open; iOS does not deliver them when it is closed.

There is nothing to download, and that is Apple’s rule rather than an omission: iOS installs apps from the App Store or TestFlight, and both need a paid developer account. Until then, Add to Home Screen above is the way to have okdone on an iPhone.

Android

Open it on the phone and allow installing from your browser when Android asks. It asks because the build is signed by us rather than by Google Play — that is what sideloading is.

Mac

A real Mac app rather than the site in a window: it signs you in natively, schedules your reminders on the Mac itself, locks behind Touch ID, and puts your own shortcuts in the menu bar.

3. Sign in. It keeps the session, so from then on it opens straight on your tasks.

Needs macOS 14 or later. Its reminders are scheduled by the Mac itself, so they arrive with the app closed and with no connection.

Windows

A real Windows app rather than the site in a window: it signs you in natively, hands your reminders to Windows so they arrive with the app closed, locks behind Windows Hello, and puts your own shortcuts in the menu.
